Robert Cosby

Mr. Robert Cosby, 89, of Cosby Rd., Washington entered into rest on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington. He was the son of the late Harvey Sim and Annie Ruth Chafin Cosby.  After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Cosby worked as a clerk stenographer with the United States Postal Service for 38 years and retired in 1985. He is survived by his son, Charles A. Cosby(Trudy) of Washington, daughter , Pamela C Fain (Kenneth), of Tignall, grandchildren, Tommy Fain (Destini), Shannon Easter (Madison), Ben Cosby, Rett Cosby, Cindy Godwin (Russell), Holley Kangeter (Josh), seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  His wife of 47 years, Christine Allen Cosby, passed away in 2012. Visitation will be at Beggs Funeral Home 200 May Avenue Lincolnton. GA  from 11:30 AM- 1:30 PM on Friday, November 29,2019., with the funeral following at 2:00 PM at Hephzibah Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Danner and Rev. Jim Holley officiating.  The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
