Robbie Ann Akin Appling, 84, Thomson, entered into eternal rest on May 5, 2024.
She was born in Carrollton, Georgia, grew up in Carrollton and moved to McDuffie County in 1970. Robbie and James owned "The Bait Shack" at Raysville, enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening. She was the homemaker for her family and loved spending quality time with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Robbie is preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents, Herman P. Akin and Alice Berryhill; her brothers, Richard Akin, Larry Akin and Steve Akin; her sisters, Francis McDevitt, Martha Young and Sarah Appling and two grandchildren, Amanda Piercy and Roslynn Jackson. Her survivors include her daughters, Terry Hagan (Darrel) and Rhonda Jackson; sisters, Barbara Wade, Elaine Ramey, Gail McCoy; her brother, Frank Akin; her grandchildren, Kelly Appling, Lindsay Campbell (Travis), Elizabeth Hagan and Katlyn Austin (Shane); great grandchildren, Makayla Noggle, Devin Barrow, Heidi Barrow, Mariah Appling, Will Bass, Payton Hagan, Hudson Campbell, Scarlett Austin, Owen Campbell, Krystain Piercy and one great great grandchild, Lacey Piercy.
