Life Legacy

Mr. Ricky Lee Crook, 55, of Lovelace Road, entered into rest on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington. A lifelong resident of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Bennie L. and Blanche F. Crook. Mr. Crook was a member of Loco Baptist Church where he currently served as a deacon and where he had previously served as a Sunday School teacher and youth leader. He was also a member of the Loco Volunteer Fire Department. He was a retired textile maintenance engineer and a former bus driver with the Lincoln County Board of Education. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Jones Crook; a daughter, Carrie Ann Crook; a son, William Lee (Will) Crook; all of Lincolnton; and a brother Johnny E. Crook and wife, Sarah, of Langley, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Loco Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Pinion officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 7:00 - 9:00pm.
