Richard Bloomer

Richard Roger Bloomer was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday June 26, 2014 with his loving wife by his side.

Richard was born February 6, 1934 in Poughkeepsie,NY. He Was retired From Tallarday Electric as an electrician and member of the I.B.E.W. 363.  He served in the Navy from 1953-1957. He was a life member of Mid County Rod and Gun Club, Stanfordville Lions club while living in New York.

In 1997 following his retirement he and his wife Mary Ann moved to Lincoln County where he was a member of  St Pauls United Methodist Church, choir member, and board member of the church.

Richard had a passion for hunting, fishing, gardening, and tinkering with anything broken even if he had to break it himself.  He aslo had a loving gift of giving animals a loving home and caring for them deeply.  He was one of a kind and a very caring man, he will be missed dearly by all that knew him.

Richard was pre deceassed by his parents John F. Bloomer and Dorothy Elizabeth Blomer, his sister Dorothy Marie Scutt and brother John Edward Bloomer, and a step daughter Donna Kruczek, and grandson Jamie Kruczek.

He leaves behind to cherrish his memories, the" one love of his life" his wife Mary Ann Zuromsky Bloomer, of Lincolnton,Ga. his stepdaughter Karen Hallenbeck of Hyde Park NY, his grandchildren David Jon Hanlon Jr. of Hyde Park, NY, Heather Marie Cross, of Craryville, NY and Frank Richard Hallenbeck, Poughkeepsie, NY.  He also leaves his great grandchildren Isabella Jade Cross, Hailey Amelia Cross and David Jon Hanlon III. Also grandchildren Jason, Mandy, Josh, Jodie, Jonathan, Joel, Randy, Ryan of AZ, and 20 great grandchildren living in AZ.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 27th at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church
