Dearing, GA -Mr. Julius Reginald"Reggie" Hilliard, 66, entered into rest September 25, 2015 at the VA Medical Center, Augusta.

Mr. Hilliard was born in Augusta, GA and lived in McDuffie County for the past 35 years. He served in the United States Army 4 th Infantry Division during Vietnam and was a retired boilermaker. He was preceded in death by his father, George Hilliard and a sister, Jackie Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Jean Hilliard; son, Chad Hilliard of Tignall, GA; daughters, Regina Hilliard of Dearing, GA and Renae Hilliard of Hephzibah, GA; mother, Mabel Wright of Augusta, GA, sisters, Shirley Campbell of Lincolnton, GA; Lisa Smith of Augusta, GA; brothers, Rick Hilliard, Bobby Hilliard both of Augusta, GA; grandchildren Kenneth Hilliard, Kayla Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Pope's Chapel United Methodist Church, Tignall, GA with Rev. Larry Bullard and Rev. Harold Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Lee Ashmore, Danny Johnson, Wade Rhodes, Clint Hussey, Allen Dye and Judson Lazenby.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is in charge .
