Ray Meyer

Thomson, GA-Mr. Arthur Raymond Meyer, 91, entered into rest April 6, 2016.

Mr. Meyer was born in Chicago, IL and served in the U. S. Navy during during World War II. He lived in Thomson most of his life and retired as a Division Chief from Fort Gordon. Mr. Meyer was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Nell Blanche Palmer Meyer and a son, Arthur R. Meyer, Jr.

Survivors include his son, Tommy Meyer (Tina) of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Patricia R. Meyer of North Point, FL; sister, Mickey M. Archambault of Maine and 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Saturday 9, 2016 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Reese,  Eddie Palmer and Rev. Gary Palmer officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., prior to the service.
