Mr. Charles Ray Dove, 67, of Tignall, passed away at his residence on July 2, 2021.   Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 11 am at the Fain Cemetery, Tignall, Ga.

Mr. Dove, son of the late William Fulton and Frances Lela Fain Dove was born on Christmas Day 1953 in Dr. Pennington's office in Lincolnton.  For his brothers, Santa didn't arrive until later that day when his mother returned with a baby boy. He lived his whole life on the farm that he grew up on where he raised beef cattle, gardened, grew muscadines and enjoyed working on his tractors. In years past, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. During his career in the granite industry, he was a saw operator. For over 30 years he was employed by Dixie Granite where he retired. He and his wife never had children but he loved his nieces and nephews as much as if they were his own children. He attended Beulah Baptist Church.

He will be greatly missed by his family which includes his wife of 45 years, Tinnie Wellmaker Dove; brother, Franklin Dove and wife Minnie; sisters-in-law, Rachel Thurmond and Mildred Ann Dove; brother-in-law, Robert Wellmaker and wife Sandra; nieces and nephews, Billy Bryant, Dena Crook, Marie Mills, Mike Dove, Christy David, Jason Dove, Jamie Dove, Donna Lota, Daniel Dove, Susan Courtright, Judy Cooke, and Daniel Thurmond.
