Ramona Willis Stribling

Mrs. Ramona Willis "Rae" Stribling, 81,  wife of William "Rabbit" Stribling,  of Thomson Hwy. entered into rest on Sunday, September 1 st at her residence.

Mrs. Stribling, daughter of the late Frank Palmer and Thelma Willis Mattox was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. She had worked in textiles and was a homemaker. In addition to her family, her greatest love was the outdoors and caring for her variety of farm animals. She was a self taught veterinarian. Her experience and advice was sought by many and her pound cake was the best. Often, she authored many  amusing writings which appeared in the local newspaper and was reported to know many incantations and home remedies for removing warts and other medical conditions.

She will be greatly missed by many including her husband of 65 years , William N. "Rabbit" Stribling

4 Great- grandchildren .

Her daughter, Charlene Hodges preceded her in death.

Viewing and  visitation will be held from 7pm until 9pm on Tuesday, September 3 rd at the funeral home.

It was  Mrs. Stribling's request that no memorial service be held and in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.
