Mrs. Ramona Carol Kent "Nana" Howard, 63 of Kidd Rd., entered into rest on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 3 pm at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Wilkes County. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the hour of the service at the church.
Mrs. Howard, a native of Tallassee, Alabama, moved to Washington when she was 2 years old, following the death of her father, Reginald "Buck" Kent. She grew up in Washington, and graduated from WWCHS. At age 17, she received VFR in single engine aircraft.
She had worked as a corrections officer, served as Tignall Chief of Police, and for over 21 years was an OTR team driver with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Foster Standridge, and step-father, Walter "Bo" Standridge.
