Mrs. Rachel Booth Dallis 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Washington, Georgia. Daughter of the late John Craig and Alice Kirkland Booth, she was born on January 4, 1928, in the Loco Community of Lincoln County, Georgia.
Rachel devoted many years of her life working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where her care and compassion touched the lives of countless individuals. Throughout all of life's challenges, she remained steadfast in her faith, always anchored by her deep devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a faithful member of Goshen Baptist Church in Lincolnton, Georgia, until her health no longer permitted her attendance.
She was predeceased by her sisters Laura Anne Booth, Janie Mae Booth Jones, Ethel “Babe” Booth Goldman, Sue “Pat” Booth Kennedy, Agnes “Aggie” Booth Norman, Lizzie “LeeLee” Booth Norman, Minnie Booth Morrison, and her only brother, Thomas Craig Booth, known affectionately as Bubba T or Red. Rachel was also preceded in death by her children Elaine Dallis Cliatt and Sonny Dallis.
Rachel's legacy lives on in her surviving family members, who cherished her deeply. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Allen Blackburn of South Carolina, and her daughter, Evelyn Blackburn Hill of Arkansas. Her family further extends through numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In her final years, Rachel was lovingly cared for by her granddaughter, Kipp Inglett McAvoy, with whom she lived. This close bond brought comfort and care that defined Rachel’s last days.
A funeral service to honor Rachel's life will be held at Goshen Baptist Church on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 11 o’clock am with Rev. Paul Reviere officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
