Appling, Georgia - Mrs. Polly Velma Kight, 79, of Forest Hills Drive Winfield Community entered into rest May 07, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Kight was born in Scott, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Thomas Watson Horton and the late Velma Lee Ivey Horton. She had lived in Appling for 28 years after coming from Jackson, SC. Mrs. Kight was a homemaker and a member of Sharon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years, Cecil Kight; sons, Mark Kight and wife, Linda of Flowery Branch, GA., James Cecil Kight and wife, Cyndi of Lakeland, FL. and Bruce Edwin Kight of Aiken, SC.; sister, Louise Kuykendall; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the funeral home.
