Thomson, GA - Mrs. Phyllis Ruth Brockmann, 89, entered into rest March 8, 2016.

Mrs. Brockmann was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Edward Blake and the late Dorothy Schultz Blake.  She was a homemaker and resided in Stone Mountain, GA for fifty years.  She was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church in Decatur, GA and served as the church secretary for many years.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brockmann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eugene William Brockmann.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Edward "Bob" Brockmann (Marilyn) of Monroe, GA and William "Bill" Brockmann of Stone Mountain, GA; four daughters, Phyllis J. "Nicki" Thigpen of Thomson, GA, Virginia Kane and Kathryn "Kathy" Brockmann of Stone Mountain, GA, and Amy Lahn of New Port Richey, FL; a sister Shirley Scharfetter of Sarasota, FL; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church in Decatur, Georgia, with Reverend Dr. Victor Belton officiating.
