Mr. Philip B. McMahan, 79 of Cherokee Ct. entered into rest on Sunday, May 5 th at Select Specialty Hospital, Augusta.
A memorial service will be held on Wed., May 8 th at 4 p.m. at New Work Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Owen officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service (3pm).
Mr. McMahan, son of the late Philip and Bertha Lee Lockee McMahan, was a native of Greenville, S.C. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and later worked at Millwood Paper Mill, Washington State and also served as a firefighter. He retired from Kimberly Clark.
Following his wife's retirement in 2001, he moved from Beech Island, S.C. to Lincoln County where he attended New Work Baptist Church and served as groundskeeper.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Kassi L. Visage, and Jodee Crews.
