Pete Taylor Retired Sheet Metal Fabricator Thomson, Ga. - Mr. Alvin Gary "Pete" Taylor, 67 of Quail Farm Rd. entered into rest May 6, 2010 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Phil Bray officiating. Interment will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Leroy Buford, Harold Buford, Jessie Buford, Taurus Ivey, Jimmy New and E.D. Torkkola. Mr. Taylor was a native of Washington, Georgia but lived in McDuffie County for many years. He was the son of the late William C. Taylor and the late Elizabeth Buford Taylor. Mr. Taylor worked as a purchasing agent with National Homes and retired as a sheet metal fabricator from Dawkins Sheet Metal Company. He was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include his son Shane Taylor and wife Nikki of Thomson; daughter, Shannon Marie Taylor of Sparta; brother, William Larry Taylor of Thomson; grandchildren, Braxton Taylor, Gage Taylor and Gavin Taylor.
