Patricia L. Newsome

Thomson, GA-Mrs. Patricia L. Newsome, 77, of Pineview Drive, entered into rest August 17, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Newsome was born in Gaston County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Preston Y. Wilson and the late Helen Hair Wilson. She and her husband, J. C. moved back to Thomson in 1981, following his retirement from the U. S. Navy. She was a homemaker and a member of Washington Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, J. C. Newsome; daughters, Cheryl Newsome of Seattle, WA, Cynthia Nelson of Thomson, GA, and Karen Stewart of Dearing, GA; sister, Martha Ledbetter of Ft Worth, TX; grandchildren, Jamie Stewart, Chris Stewart and Brandon Cason and 5 great grandchildren Mrs. Newsome was preceded in death by brothers, Ronald Wilson and Yates Wilson. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2015 at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Randy Dunaway officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 7 until 9 p.m., Thursday, August 20th at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is in charge.
