Patricia H. Mcgill

Patricia H. McGill Thomson, GA-Mrs. Patricia H. McGill, 69, of Shields Pond Rd. entered into rest August 8, 2015 at Georgia Regents Medical Center. Pat was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, GA and the daughter of the late Foster Marshall Howard and the late Annie Lois Milford Howard. She was the Co-Owner of McGill and Associates.  Pat was a faithful and devoted member of Thomson Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Deariso. Survivors include her husband, John A. McGill, Sr.; son, John A. McGill, Jr. (April) of Bishop, GA; daughter, Kate M. Jackson (Derek) of Dunwoody, GA; sisters, Ruth McCorkle of Thomson, GA, Ann Davis of Cream Ridge, NJ, Betty Lake of Thomson, GA and grandchildren, Lindsey McGill, Anna McGill, Luke Jackson, Gavin McGill, Ben Jackson, Beau Jackson, Ann Jackson and step grandchildren, Hunter Ecker and Aiden Ecker. Pat was a devoted wife for 51 years.  She and John enjoyed many activities together.  They consistently worked together on gardening and a variety of projects, barely completing one before starting another.  Pat supported John in the family business since founding McGill and Associates and played a major role as co-owner. As a couple, Pat and John opened their home to family, friends, church functions, and missionaries.  They were the epitome of gracious hosts, putting others at ease. Pat energetically and creatively initiated adventures with their grandchildren who called her Jamma.  Pat and John counted it a privilege to provide a haven for them. Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Thomson Presbyterian Church with Rev. Hank Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is in charge.
