RETIRED ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Mrs. Patricia Lokey, of Myrtle Lake Drive Dearing, Georgia died Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of John Walter Lokey.
Mrs. Lokey was born in Griffin, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Willie A. Kilgore and the late Tincy Irma Banks Kilgore.
She retired after 16 years as Administrative Assistant to Chief Superior Court Judge Robert L. Stevens, of the Toombs Judicial Circuit. She also served as church pianist to several area churches, as well as providing private instruction to numerous area piano students. Mrs. Lokey was also a member of First Baptist Church in Thomson and a member of the Jubalheirs Praise and Proclamation Ministry.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 01, 2009 at 3 o'clock p.m. from the First Baptist Church , Thomson, GA with Dr. James Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Steven Holbert, Chris Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Allen Conner, Jimmy Plunkett and Bob Gibson.
In addition to her husband John Walter Lokey, Dearing, GA are Daughters:
Christa Lynn Kendrick, Lawrenceville, GA and Susan Claire Kendrick Cash - Winder, GA. 2 Grandchildren: Hailee and Hilton Cash
A sister: Louise Sisson, Charlotte, NC; Nephews: Ivan Sisson and Chris Sisson
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Saturday at the funeral home.
