Otis Freeman

Mr. Otis Freeman, 63, of Mitchner Rd. Dearing, GA entered into rest June 7, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., June 11, 2013 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rodney Dunaway, Rev. Albert James and Rick Murphy officiating.

Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.

Mr. Freeman grew up in Richmond County, Georgia and lived in McDuffie County since 1977. He taught History, Health Sciences and PECE for McDuffie County Board of Education and retired after 30 years of service. Mr. Freeman also taught Hunter's Safety for 35 years and he was a member of Boneville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years, Marilyn W. Freeman; daughters, Melissa Rimmer and husband, Shane all of Dearing, GA and Anna Dunaway and husband, Rodney of Thomson, GA and grandchildren, Alex Rimmer, Olivia Dunaway, Josh Rimmer and Laura Dunaway.

The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to Dr. Jamie Lemley, Dr. Dan Duggan, Dr. John Cheape, Dr. Mark Keaton, Dr. Doris Tummilo and Carol, Sandra, Michael and Tom with Trinity Hospice for the exceptional care given to Mr. Freeman during his illness.

Memorials may be made to the Boneville United Methodist Church.

Friends may call at the residence or the family will receive friends from 6 until  8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
