Oscar Fain Pitts

Oscar Fain Pitts Thomson, GA- Mr. Oscar Fain Pitts, 87, of Monterey Pass entered into rest January 3, 2014. Mr. Pitts was born in Sweetwater, Texas and was the son of the late Preston W. Pitts and the late Mary Wilson Studeville. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and also served in the U. S. Army National Guard. Mr. Pitts retired as an engineer with Sante Fe Railroad and later retired from Rick's Paint and Body. In years past, Mr. Pitts served as a volunteer fireman. He was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include his beloved wife, Wanda Pitts of Thomson; daughters, Jeannie Huff of Thomson, Mary Stewart Mihm of Martinez, Denise Childress and Carol Lee both of Austin, Texas and 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mr. Pitts was preceded in death by a son, Bobby W. Mays. A visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Monterey Pass Clubhouse 877 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia. Beggs Funeral  Home, Thomson, GA is in charge of arrangements.
