Thomson, Ga. - Mrs. Opal Duckworth Fullbright, 83 of Jeanette Street entered into rest April 27, 2010 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late William Lee " Bill" Fullbright, Sr..
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James M. Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Fullbright was a native of Cedar Rock but lived in Thomson most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Homer Duckworth and the late Donnie Mae Pate Duckworth. Mrs. Fullbright was retired from Bellsouth with 39 years of service. She served as part time receptionist for McDuffie Regional Medical Center. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Thomson and the Sunshine Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Trevor Fullbright, Thomson, Vicki Prince, Thomson, Lawson Fulbright, Thomson, Shelly Fulbright, Atlanta and Brandon Fulbright, Thomson; great-grandchildren, Hailee Prince, Jenny Prince, Cole Prince and Amelia Fulbright. Mrs. Fullbright was preceded in death by her two sons, William Lee Fullbright, Jr. and Samuel Wayne Fulbright.
