Dearing, GA- Mrs. Oda Mae Wood, 86, entered into rest September 25, 2014 at Agape Living, Augusta. She was the wife of the late John Wood.
Mrs. Wood was born in Pelham, GA and lived in Dearing, GA for 36 years. She was a retired bus driver with the McDuffie County Board of Education. Mrs. Wood was a member of Ft. Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Charles L. Whigham, Sr. and wife, Louise of Grovetown, GA and Gordon W. Whigham, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Plattsburg, New York; 7 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson with Rev. Jim Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
