Norman Lewis Lane
Thomson, GA-Mr. Norman Lewis Lane, age 77, died May 11, 2015 at his residence.
Norman was born May 28, 1937 in Bakersfield, California to the late Larry L. Lane and the late Oline Parks Lane. He entered service in 1954 at age 17 and served in U.S. Army combat duties Korean and Vietnam War. Between 1976 and 1979 Norman was assigned to Fort Gordon Signal Corp as instructor for computer science. He retired August 31, 1979, as Master Sergeant E-8 with 25 years of service. Upon departure of military, Norman worked for McDonnell Douglas, Tymshare, and Novadyne as a Computer Field Service Tech. In 2003 Norman retired from McDonnell Douglas in Anaheim California, and moved to Thomson Georgia in June 2004 to present date.
Mr. Lane is survived by his wife, Leonor Lane; four children, Cynthia Fite, Larry Lane, Daniel Lane, and Anna Lane; grandchildren, Mathew Graziano, Cordele Fite, Robert Willis and Thomas Willis; and sister, Pamela Moser.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Thomson with Father Stephen Lyness as Celebrant. Military Honors will immediately follow.
Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, GA is in charge.
