Nelson Brown
Mr. Brown, a native of Lincoln County, had lived in the Greenwood area most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had been employed with Sen. Strom Thurmond's office as Social Security coordinator and had worked for U.S. Rep. Larry McDonald. Also, Mr. Brown earned a law degree from Jones School of Law, Birmingham.. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Hester Haynes Brown, and sister, Angela Brown Phillips.
Survivors:
Daughter: Kristen B. Johnson, and husband, Ace of Joanna, SC
Brother: Jimmy Ray Brown, Martinez
Sisters: Betty B. Holloway ,and Florence B. Dallis, both of Lincolnton
Grandchildren: Eric, Whitney, and A.J. Salters, and Ace Johnson, III.
