Nellie Taylor Smith Homemaker Warrenton, GA- Mrs. Nellie Taylor Smith, 83, of Austin Rd. entered into rest July 6, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late John Thomas Smith. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2012 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Dann officiating. Pallbearers will be: Alton Roland, Nick Newsome, Justin Gurley, Carson Gurley, Jayme Usry and Luke Ashley. Mrs. Smith was a lifelong resident of Warren County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Arthur Burton Taylor and the late Fannie Sue Taylor. Mrs. Smith relied on her faith in God through Christ as her strength and was well known as a gentle, loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She possessed strong Christian leadership qualities through the life she lived and was a member of First Baptist Church, Warrenton. Survivors include her daughters, Susan Harwell and husband Tommy, Kay Johnson and husband, Gary, Brenda Roland and husband, Donnie all of Warrenton and Judy Beckworth of Dearing; grandchildren, Tom Harwell and wife, Kim, Rusty Harwell and wife, Rhonda, Lacey Bland and husband, Seth, Lindsey Sisson and husband, Hatcher, Alton Roland, Beth Usry and husband, Jayme, LeeAnn Gurley and husband, Mike, Jennifer Small and Jodie Ashley; 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Annie J. Benson and brother, Arthur Taylor. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 512, Warrenton, GA 30828. Friends may call the residence of Kay and Gary Johnson, 95 Brown Circle, Warrenton, GA or from 7 until 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
