NELLIE REESE DAY HOMEMAKER MRS. NELLIE REESE DAY 96 of Washington Rd. Thomson, GA entered into rest March 04, 2007 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center . She was the beloved wife of the late M. W. ( Buddie) Day . Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 06, 2007 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Peter Strals officiating. Mrs. Day was born in Warren County and was the daughter of the late Jonas R. Reese and the late Lillie Farr Reese. She was a homemaker and was the oldest living member of Mesena United Methodist Church. Survivors include: Daughter: Vylene Day Purvis and her husband Herbert Purvis of Anderson, SC Grandchildren : Jan Keith, Jay Holland, Jennifer Cook and Bert Purvis 7 Great-grandchildren Mrs. Day was preceeded in death by a daughter Nina Day Holland. Memorials may be made to the Mesena United Methodist Church P. O. Box 428 Mesena, GA 30819. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Monday at the funeral home.
