Neal W. Rabun

Mr. Neal W. Rabun, 83, of  Thomson, Georgia entered into rest June 9, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Sweetwater Baptist Church with Rev. J. B. Redd, Rev. Jon Richards and Rev. Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the May Family Cemetery.

Mr. Rabun was born in Glascock County, Georgia and lived in McDuffie County, Georgia most of his life. He was the son of the late Walter Rabun and the late Inez Neal Rabun. Mr. Rabun worked for many years at Kingsley Mill and Uniroyal and he was the retired owner and operator of McDuffie Implement. He was also a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church where he had taught the Youth Department and served as Deacon Emeritus.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Inez May Rabun; daughters, Mary Lynn Rabun Raley and husband, Bob, Ann Rabun Bell and husband, Rex, Jill Rabun Brooks and husband, Chris; son, Dennis Neal Rabun and wife Jaymie all of Thomson, GA; 7 grandchildren, Renee' (Butch) Askew, Jennifer (Ben) Huff, Beth (Ryan) Neal, Jesse and Joshua Brooks, Zachary and Sadie Rabun; and 6 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson is in charge of arrangements.
