MR. NATHANIEL G. ASHMORE

Mr. Nathaniel G. Ashmore, 88 of Ashmore-Barden Road entered into rest on Sunday, March 30 ^th at his residence.

Mr. Ashmore, the son of the late John Richard & Mattie LeRoy Ashmore, Sr., was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. He had retired from McCormick Mills and was a farmer.  He was a member of Jones Chapel Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lexie Bussey Ashmore; a brother, T.G. Ashmore, of Augusta; five sisters Laura Bussey, Margaret White, and Matilda Finley all of Lincolnton, Polly Reese of McCormick, SC, and Sadie Williams of Augusta.  Mr. Ashmore was predeceased by a brother, J.R. Ashmore, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Jones Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Martins Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery

The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm on Monday evening at the funeral home.
