Mrs. Nan W. Edmunds, 84 of Washington Hwy. entered into rest on Thursday, April 16 th at University Hospital, Augusta.

Mrs. Edmunds, daughter of the late W. Ingraham and Eunice Holloway Ward, was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County and  retired after 40 years in the textile industry. She was a member of Jones Chapel and served as pianist in the past.  Her husband,  James H. Edmunds, Sr.,  son, Charles Edmunds, and brother, Mosley Ingraham Ward, preceded her in death.

Survivors:

Son: James H. "Jimmy" Edmunds, Jr. and wife, Denise of Lincolnton

Grandchildren: Elizabeth Edmunds, Miami, Fl.

Melissa E. Peters, Kennesaw

Allison E. Sullivan, and husband, Aaron of Evans

James H. "Jamie" Edmunds, III, Lincolnton

Daughter-in-law: Brenda Koch

Sisters-in-law: Patricia  Ward and Margaret Edmunds McDowell

Niece and Nephew:

Dr. Melanie Ward Dees, Summerville, SC and Michael Ingraham Ward

Aunts: Nell H. Parton, Rutherfordton, NC, Betty Stevens, Lincolnton, and Dot Snider, Lincolnton

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 18 th at 2 p.m. at Jones Chapel with Rev. Tom Smalley officiating.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Bible House of Prayer/ Jones Chapel, c/o Grace Norman, 1139 John Lewis Dr., Lincolnton, Ga 30817.
