Alice Lucille Ricci, 94, died on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Terraceview Living Center in Shell Lake. She was born March 27, 1916 in Cumberland, WI to Peter and Anna (Howard) Stoll. Alice was the eleventh of twelve children. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church and graduated from Cumberland High School in 1935.
She was married in Cumberland, WI on November 16, 1940 to Bill Ricci. They had 1 daughter, Judy.
Alice was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church and the church was an important part of her life. Over the years she enjoyed singing in the choir, serving in Ladies Aide and teaching Sunday school.
Alice and Bill owned Bill's Auto Repair in Cumberland for more than 40 years. She was the bookkeeper and Bill's helper when he needed parts picked up at auto supply stores or cars delivered after they were fixed. Alice also enjoyed baking, gardening and beekeeping.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Judy Ricci of Shell Lake; 1 granddaughter, Alison of Shell Lake; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Donna Ricci of Cumberland; many nieces and nephews and her granddog, Jennie. Alice was preceded her in death by her husband, Bill on April 12, 1994; 4 brothers, John, Harvey, Emil and Andy and 7 sisters, Josephine, Eva, Min, Sadie, Melda, Ada and Clara.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at First Lutheran Church, Cumberland, WI with Rev. Timothy Schmidt and Rev. Carol Ann McArdell officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Cumberland, WI. Pallbearers are Alison Ricci, Philip Amundson, Joy Becker, Tom Bonkrude, Tom Butler and Gerry Winch. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 AM on Wednesday at the church.
