Milton Roy "Flip" McCarty

Thomson, Georgia – Mr. Milton Roy "Flip" McCarty, 63, entered into rest June 1, 2020

Mr. McCarty, a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, was the son of the late Roy McCarty and the late Billie Godowns McCarty.  After graduating from Thomson High School in 1974, he attended GA Southern and UGA.  Mr. McCarty worked at the Thomson Company, World of Color, Blue Dot, Pelzer, Thomson Plastics, and most recently at Augusta Coating & Manufacturing.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed camping, going to the lake and being outdoors.  In addition to his parents, Mr. McCarty was predeceased by his sister, Vicki McCarty Davis.

Survivors include his son; Mitchell McCarty, daughters, Carson McCarty and Maggie McCarty; and brother, Rob McCarty.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2020 in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Hank Wilson officiating.
