Thomson, Georgia- Mrs. Mildred Louise Newsome, 94, entered into rest February 27, 2017.

Mrs. Newsome was born in Warrenton, GA to the late James F. Langham and the late Mary Hood Langham. She lived most of her life in Thomson and was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Newsome was retired as a seamstress for Garland Knitting Mills.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Julian Newsome; son, James Newsome; and granddaughter, Ashley Newsome.

Survivors include granddaughters, Amanda Hunt, Anna Newsome and great granddaughter, Gracie Harley; and brothers, Henry Langham of Louisiana and Davis Langham of Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock p.m., Friday, March 3 ^rd , 2017 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Shelton officiating.  Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
