Mildred T. Pitstick
Thomson, Georgia-Mrs. Mildred T. "Millie" Pitstick, 77, of North Courtland Drive entered into rest March 29, 2013 at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 1, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, Thomson with Rev. John Barnes officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Tony Hadden, Dewayne Rabun, Alan Childs, Steve Taylor, Johnny Robinson and Steve Gunby. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dalton Taylor, Jack Smith and Jim Hicks, Sr.
Mrs. Pitstick was born in Thomson, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Carl D. Thomas and the late Mary Newsome Thomas. She graduated from Warren County High School in 1953 and attended Georgia College for Women in Milledgeville, Georgia. Mrs. Pitstick retired from National Homes, Inc. with 27 years of service and then became a partner with Residential Investors. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Thomson. Mrs. Pitstick enjoyed gardening, working puzzles, reading and the outdoors. She was a faithful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her beloved husband, David L. Pitstick; daughters, Mary Kate Johnson, Lora Hadden and husband, Tony all of Thomson, GA; sister, Pauline Neal-Tobar and husband, Julio of Miami, FL; sister-in-law, Cheryl Thomas of Gray, GA; grandchildren, Ashley Lucas, Crystal Rabun, Kenneth Hadden; great grandchildren, Haley Gunby and Macie Anne Rabun; stepchildren, Katharine Ann DeMars of Wichita Falls, TX, Michael D. Pitstick and wife, Beverly of Auburn, WA and Patsy Wilson of Griffin, GA and step grandchildren, Matthew Wilson and Adrienne Wilson. Mrs. Pitstick was preceded in death by her brother, Jerald D. Thomas.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Friends may call at the residence, 1577 N. Courtland Drive, Thomson, Georgia or from 5 until 7 p.m., Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the funeral home.
