Mildred Hammond
Mrs. Hammond, the youngest of thirteen children born to the late Jesse and Luna Myers Wells, was a native of Lincoln County and had lived in the Tampa area for thirty years before returning to Lincolnton in 1977. She was retired from the Hillsborough County School System as a lunchroom worker. Also, she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
