Michael Huff

Mr. Michael Ralph Huff, 62, of North Avenue, Thomson, GA entered into his heavenly home on Saturday, October 16, 2021.

Michael was a lifelong resident of Thomson, Georgia and a 1979 graduate of Thomson High School. He played baseball in high school and loved all sports. Big Huff as he was affectionally known by his friends later played travel softball with the McDuffie Merchants traveling all over the State. The Merchants were the number one team in the southeast and ranked 18th nationwide. He was an avid sports fan, especially a Thomson Bulldog fan and could remember sports statistics locally, state and nationally for many years. Big Huff was also known for his humor and his ability to make others laugh. He worked at Southern Fibre and later at the Advance Auto Parts Distribution Center. He loved his mother and he enjoyed family gatherings where a meal would be served. Big Huff attended Washington Heights Baptist Church as a child and he was a member of Lighthouse Ministries. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph A. Huff.

Survivors include his mother, Bobbie Jean Hughes Scott of Grovetown; daughter, Waykel Moss of Thomson; brother, Mark Huff of Thomson; sister, Gloria Allen (Glenn) of Grovetown; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 19th in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Bro. Avery Poss, officiating.  Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.
