Merv Reese

Thomson, GA- Mr. Mervin "Merv" Reese, 76, of Reese Jones Rd. entered into rest June 5, 2016.

Mr. Reese grew up in Glascock County, GA and was the son of the late Harris Reese and the late Mary Chalker Prescott. He was a 1958 graduate of Glascock County High School. He lived in Thomson most of his life and worked at Uniroyal, owned and operated Merv Reese Insurance Company, and retired as a Courier with Jefferson Energy. He was a Baptist by faith.

Survivors include his wife, Ginger Reese; sons, Kevin Reese, Brandon Reese; daughters, Angela Reese McCain, Dana Reese; stepchildren, Wesley Mitchell, Christy Lott; sister, Marian Lamb; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, special cousin, Larry Chalker, special nephew, Thomas Davis-Cox, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3 o'clock p.m., Wednesday, June 8 ^th in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
