Mr. Melvin Tasker McCoy, 87, Sacramento, California, entered into eternal rest on August 6, 2022.

Mr. McCoy was born in Mitchell, Georgia on December 16, 1934, the son of Lawrence and Sweetie McCoy.  Melvin was a native of Warrenton, Georgia and had lived in Santa Rosa, California since 1963.  He enjoyed spending summers at the McCoy Home in Warren County, Georgia.  Mr. McCoy was a salesman at Sears by trade for 40 years.  He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Mrs. Priscilla McCoy.  His survivors include his daughters, Debra Ann Ritchey and Lisa Marie Iverson; his 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Savannah Valley Memorial Garden, 2235 Washington Road, Thomson, Georgia, with Rev. Tommy Harwell officiating.  Pallbearers for the service will be Mike McDonald, James Johnson, Bo Snider and Randy Ritchey.
