Thomson, Georgia- Mrs. Maxine Laura Stevens, 91, of Begonia Lane entered into rest August 26, 2016.

Mrs. Stevens was born in Quick, West Virginia and lived most of her life in Charleston, West Virginia. She was a homemaker and a faithful and devoted member of Point Lick Gospel Tabernacle for 53 years. Mrs. Stevens moved to Thomson, Georgia 11 years ago and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, David Stevens (Joyce); daughter, Sue Rumbaugh (Leon) all of Thomson, GA; brother, John Wesley Young of Charleston, WV; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock p.m., Wednesday, August 31 ^st in the chapel of Stevens and Grass Funeral Home in Charleston, WV. The family will receive friends from 11 until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mount Lewis Cemetery in Ward, WV.
