N. Augusta, SC- Mr. John Matthew "Matt" Parham, 39, entered into rest May 29, 2018.

Matt grew up in Martinez, GA and was a 1996 graduate of Evans High School. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1996 to 2000 on the USS Abraham Lincoln and was aboard when the United States bombed Afghanistan and Sudan. Matt was a plant operator for PCS Nitrogen in Augusta and was a member of Whole Life Ministries. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children that he loved so much.

Survivors include his daughters, Kylie Parham, Maggie Parham and Aubrey Parham of N. Augusta, SC; parents, John and Cindy Parham of Blythe, GA; and sister, Kim Gilmer (David) of Thomson, GA; maternal grandparents, L. M. and Mary English and a host of aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Bowers and Dr. Sandra Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Thomson.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
