Mary L. "Dot" Thigpen Thomson, GA-Mrs. Mary L. "Dot" Thigpen, 75 of Noble Street entered into rest November 27, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Don Widener officiating. Mrs. Thigpen was born in Warren County, Georgia but lived in McDuffie County most of her life.  She was retired from Canteen Foods. Mrs. Thigpen was a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sammy Langham and Mary Lou McCoy Langham; husband, John A. Thigpen; son, Barney Dye; brothers, Eugene Langham, Lawrence Langham, Linton Langham, Johnny Langham and Wayne Langham. Survivors include her daughter, Faye Ann Callaway of Tignall, GA; son, Carl Lee Dye of Thomson, GA; sisters, Carolyn Wilkerson (Ernest) of Thomson, GA, Betty Connor of Pitts, GA; brother, Tim Langham (Cathy) of Conyers, GA; grandchildren, Shelly C. Ferrell (Lee), Tom Callaway (Toni) and great grandchildren, Tyler Callaway, Shelby Callaway and Emma Callaway. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2013 at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral  Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, GA is in charge of arrangements.
