Mary Magdalene Hobbs
Harlem, GA-Mrs. Mary Magdalene Reese Hobbs, 92, of Wrightsboro Rd. entered into rest November 15, 2014 at University Hospital, McDuffie.
Mrs. Hobbs was born in Helen, Georgia but lived in Harlem since 1946. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Cagle and the late Lubelle Cranford Tarpley. Mrs. Hobbs was a homemaker and a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church, Harlem. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hobbs was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Reese, Sr. and husband, Jack Hobbs.
Survivors include her sons, Howard W. Reese, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Gary Reese of Harlem, GA; brothers, Lamar Tarpley of Brewton, AL, Armell Tarpley of Johnson City, TN; sister, Lucille Toole of Macon, GA; grandchildren, Howard W. Reese, III, Gregory Reese, Shannon Reese and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, November 17, 2014 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Reese officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m., Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
