Mary Powell Rabun

Thomson, GA– Mrs. Mary Mathews Powell Rabun of Kingstown Way entered into rest June 24, 2016.

Mrs. Rabun was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, GA and was the daughter of the late Omar Lewis Mathews and the late Bessie Williams Mathews. She was a homemaker and attended Faith Baptist Church and Thomson Church of God. Mrs. Rabun was predeceased by her husbands, Rev. Edward "Ted" Powell and Walter Rabun.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane Farmer (Bobby); sons, Robby Powell (Julie), Tim Powell (Katrina); sister, Margaret Wilson; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Monday, June 27th in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Widener officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
