Mary B. Jones

Thomson, Georgia - Mrs. Mary B. Jones  passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013, one day after her 90th birthday surrounded by her family. She was born July 10, 1923, in Hollywood, GA, as the first child of Mamie (Rumsey) and Frank Densmore of Clarkesville,Georgia.

Mrs. Jones was predeceased by her parents, 4 younger sisters, 2 infant sons, and her husband, William Carl Jones, as well as a special friend of more than thirty years, Roy Thomas Brooks. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law Jack D. Brown, Sr. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Brown of Clarkesville and Betty (Ed) Madden of Marietta and her two sons, Butch  (Joyce) Jones of Dearing and Frank (Judy) Jones of Warrenton. In addition she is survived by her two granddaughters, Dawn (Jamie) Nix of Toccoa and Caroline Kate Rogers of Denver, CO and her two grandsons, Darrell Brown of Clarkesville and Jaye (Debbie) Jones of Thomson. She is also survived by four great granddaughters and a great grandson.

Visitation will be held at Beggs Funeral Home of Thomson on Friday, July 12, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 o'clock in the evening. Funeral services will be held at Pine Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 11:00 o'clock in the morning. Burial will be the following day Sunday, July 14, 2013, at 2:00 o'clock  in the afternoon in the family plot at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarksville, Georgia. The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Jacqueline Fincher and her staff as well as the entire staff of Gibson Health and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care of their mother.
