Mrs. Mary Jane Betancourt, 75, Dearing, Georgia, entered into rest on August 24, 2021.

Mrs. Betancourt was born in San Antonio, Texas, on July 9, 1946, grew up in Altus, Oklahoma and lived there until she moved to Dearing, Georgia in 1986.  She was the daughter of the Pomas Sanchez and Margarita L. Sanchez.  Betty has been an employee of Walmart in Thomson for over 15 years.  She was a member of New Hope Church on Belair Road, loved serving her Lord and Savior and especially loved her family and friends.

Mrs. Betancourt was preceded in death by her parents, Pomas and Margarita Sanchez and a sister.  Her survivors include her husband, Fred Betancourt; daughters, Elva Hutchinson and Margaret Kaage (Thomas); her grandchildren, Denise Renee Watkins, Robert Michael Brekke, Tamara Lynn Brekke, Tiffani Marie Kaage, Brenton Thomas Kaage and Elysse Jane Watkins; three great grandchildren; five brothers and two sisters.

The family is planning a private memorial service for a later date.
