Marvin B. Cox

Mr. Marvin B. Cox, 74 of McCormick Hwy.  entered into rest on October 22 nd at Doctors Hospital, Augusta.

Marvin was born to the late Arthur B. and Dolly Inez Crozier Cox in Lincoln County in the Summer of 1939.  A second generation brick mason and contractor,  he worked  and  lived in Lincoln County most of his life. He served his country during the early 1960's in the U.S. Army and for years thereafter in the Reserves. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Cox.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Kim. He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Kenneth Cox and wife, Kaye of Dacula, Ga.; Perry Cox and wife Arrianna of Aiken; grandchildren, Brandi Cox, Marisa Finn, Breann Cox, Hannah Cox, Ethan Cox, Phillip Cox, Kinsey Cox; and  a great grandson, Johnny Finn.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 26 th at  3 p.m. at  Jones Chapel Cemetery, 2322 Thomson Hwy., Lincolnton with Rev. Wade Palmer officiating.
