Marlene Jackson

Mrs. Marlene Jackson, 76 of Holiday Estates, Tignall, Ga. entered into rest on Friday, March 15, 2019 at University Hospital Summerville in Augusta.

Mrs. Jackson, a native of Fulton County, was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Edith Dobbs Bailey. She had retired from the US EPA as a grant specialist. Following retirement, she and her husband Hill moved to the lake in Lincoln County from Douglasville. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Her hobbies included reading, metal detecting, and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Hill Jackson; sons, Tim Jackson, Chesterfield, VA., and Tommy Jackson, Austell, GA; daughter, Traci J. Eifling of Tignall; brother, Phil Bailey; sister, Carole B. Wallace; 5 grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 6556 Elberton Hwy., Tignall, Ga. 30668 or the American Alzheimer's Association.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 11 am at Beulah Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday beginning at 10 am until the hour of the service at the church.
