Mark Leroy James, Sr.

Thomson, GA – Mr. Mark Leroy James, Sr, 59, entered into rest October 7, 2015.

Mr. James was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, GA and the son of the late John E. James, Sr. and the late Mary Elizabeth Newsome. He was a self -employed carpenter and a member of the White Oak United Pentecostal Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. James was preceded in death by a brother, Randy E. James and grandson, Dalton Lee Brown.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Pauline S. James, sons, Mark L. James (Angie), Matthew James (Victoria); daughters, Abigail I. Hampton (Ronn), Melissa A. James; mother, Dianne James Curl; brother, John James, Jr.; sister, Brenda J. Newsome; grandchildren, Anslee James, Christopher Dowdy, Zhaniyah Dawson, Rodney Dawson, Karen Hampton and Micah James.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock, a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 at White Oak United Pentecostal Church with Revs. John Biggs and Rev. Matt Betosky officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
