Mark Alan Finuf

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Mark Alan Finuf, age 65, of Thomson, Georgia, on February 1, 2025.

He was born on June 23, 1959, in Emporia, Kansas and settled in Thomson in 1979 where he helped open, cultivate and eventually became 2nd generation owner of Finuf Sign Company.

Mark was the kind of person whose smile made you smile, and his energy and spirit were contagious.  He was widely considered the life of the party and truly had the time of his life with his friends he cherished so deeply.  Mark was a diehard Georgia Bulldogs fan, and his love for the team ran deep.  His Saturdays were and always will be for the DAWGS.  But underneath all that, was simply a good man who loved his family well.  His daughters were the light of his world, and everything he did was to see them well taken care of and most of all, happy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Walter Finuf and brother, Bruce Finuf.  His survivors include his mother, Barbara J. Mercer Finuf; his daughters, Lauren Finuf (David Hobbs) and Lindsey Finuf; his sister, Chris Finuf Reed; sister-in-law, Barbara Ann and his two beloved grandsons, Lawson and Walker Beasley; his nephew, Christian Morris (Nicole), their three daughters; his niece Sharon and other extended family.

His visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia, and his Funeral Service, being officiated by Rev. Allen Yarbrough, will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with his interment to follow at Westview Cemetery, Thomson, Georgia.  After the interment, family and friends will be gathering at Mom's house, 4055 Stagecoach Road, Thomson, Georgia to share in fellowship and celebrate his life.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family's personal guestbook.
