Marjorie Wilson Powell Thomson, Georgia - Mrs. Marjorie Wilson Powell, 86, of Lincolnton Hwy. entered into rest May 12, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jon Richards officiating. Mrs. Powell was a native of Chrisman, Illinois and lived in Thomson, Georgia for the past thirty years. She was the daughter of the late William Wilson and the late Grace Scott Wilson. Mrs. Powell was a faithful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a homemaker and a member of Raysville Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, J T Powell; sons, Mikel Powell and wife, Karen; Gary Powell and wife, Karen all of Thomson; daughter, Wanda Powell Irwin and husband, Patrick of Gaffney, SC; sisters, Rozella Travis, Charlet Emerick and Jessie Branson; grandchildren, Denise Firster, Mikel Powell, Jr., Jacob Powell, Joshua Powell, Patrick H. Irwin and Katie Andrade Irwin; fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Wilson, Daryl Wilson, Jerry Wilson and one sister, June Wilson. Beggs Funeral Home 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia 706-595-4100.
