Marion Young Dearing, GA- Mr. Marion Smith Young, 79 of Hillman-Gay Rd. entered into rest May 25, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in the Neal Cemetery. Mr. Young was born in Tennille, GA and was the son of the late R. W. Young and the late Ruby Smith Young. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Young was retired as a Pipefitter Supervisor from Savannah River Plant. He was also a sales entrepreneur. Mr. Young was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Harlem, GA. Survivors include his wife, Geri Evans Young, Dearing, GA; sons, James Evans, Dearing, GA, Rev. Tony Evans, Macon, GA; daughter, Tori Faglier, Augusta, GA; brother, Bobby Young; sister, Evelyn Skipper both of N. Augusta, SC; grandchildren, Chad Waller, Casie Waller, Michael Evans, Heather Evans, Brett Evans, Taylor Evans, Jamey Evans, Josiah Evans and Jessica Evans and 3 great- grandchildren. Mr. Young was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Evans; sister, Doris Young and mother-in-law, Rebie Neal.
