Marion Everett West

Mr. Marion Everett West, of Stoney Ridge Road, entered into rest on January 27, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. West was a lifelong resident of Wilkes County having retired as an automotive mechanic from Washington Auto Sales as well as Rayle Electric Membership Corporation and he was a member of Phillips Mill Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Shelton Edward West, a sister, Dorothy Rogers, and a grandchild, Harley West.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce M. West; his two sons, Tommy West & wife, Karen, of Crawfordville and Shelton West & wife, Kat of Washington; a brother, Robert D. (Bobby) West of Washington; two sisters, Shirley Goldman of Thomson & Mary Yearwood of White Plains; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm at Phillips Mill Baptist Church Cemetery on Sunday, January 29, 2017.  Nephews will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will include Ira Tiller, Gene Winfrey, Sr., Buddy Lindsey, as well as current and former employees of Rayle Electric Membership Corporation.
